Practice Policy: Consent, Ethics & Cancellations
At our practice, we value clarity, professionalism, and respect. The following guidelines explain how we work with clients, in line with the ethical standards of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP).

Consent & Confidentiality
-
Starting therapy is always your choice. We will explain what therapy involves and answer your questions before we begin.
-
By engaging in sessions, you provide informed consent for psychological treatment.
-
Everything you share is treated confidentially. Information is not shared with others without your explicit permission, except when required by law (e.g., risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or court order).
-
You have the right to access your records, ask questions, and withdraw from therapy at any time.
Ethics & Professional Standards

As NIP-registered psychologists, we follow the NIP Code of Ethics. This means we commit to:
-
Treating all clients with respect, dignity, and without discrimination.
-
Maintaining professional boundaries and integrity.
-
Providing services only within our professional competence.
-
Acting in your best interest and safeguarding your wellbeing.
-
-
If you ever have concerns about the way therapy is conducted, we encourage open discussion. If needed, you can also use the formal complaints procedure under the Wkkgz.
